Eli's Recap Email Review

Again, as the great Bernie Kim once said, this e-mail could have been a podcast.

I will note that there was nary a mention of Anda in the recap e-mail. Are the rumors (that I’m making up right now) of a growing rift between the Dandyelions true? Clearly, Anda would be Garfunkel to Eli’s Simon but who would be the Hall and who the Oates in this situation? Did the aliens finally get to Wooster? When will we ever see Eli’s 2025 movie tiers list? Inquiring minds don’t really care but it would be nice to see some follow thru from the fellas to kick off the new year.

Besides that, Eli’s email accomplished very little besides giving the dictionary a new example for the word “masturbatory”. Can we agree that when the historians discuss this season that it’ll go down as the BULLSHIT! season? Should we all apologize to Eli’s family for likely emboldening his temper tantrums as it appears that they bookended a glorious championship season in 2025?

Eli also forgot to mention the one thing that probably needed to be sent in an email - Derek, who abstains from both pod and blog, came in last place and shall be running the draft board next year as his punishment.

I did appreciate seeing that Brendan was so confident in his ability to land in the money that he still hasn’t paid his dues.

To keep the football discussion alive, I also have two early ideas to discuss.

1. Cut the season by a week. If we stick at 14 teams, cutting a week means everyone plays each team once and we also get to wrap up the season before Christmas.

2. In-Season League Trip. We don’t know the schedules yet but we do know that the Patriots are playing in Seattle (and Los Angeles) and the Bills are playing in Vegas next year. Should we try to put together another trip for the league in 2026?

And, as always, no kickers. (Or, at least, change the kicker points as discussed on WhatsApp. Which reminds me…)

3. A New Chat App. WhatsApp is a safe space from Eli’s vitriol but it would be nice to get everyone on the same app. Should we try Discord or something else next season? Which tech bro is Eli not boycotting? Can carrier pigeons make the flight from LA to Buffalo?
