Note: I’m starting my pizza list from scratch so this is truly my favorites since 12/15/22. Pizzanista and Propaganda are #1 & #2 because they’re the only two I’ve had so far.
Overall, Novo Cafe in Burbank has a Diavola pizza that is my favorite, but i haven’t been back there since quarantine. Prime Pizza and Joe’s Pizza set the bar; they just deliver a tasty slice and if you can’t beat them, then you don’t make the list.
My expectations are that I’ll cap this list at 10 places and I’d be surprised if Propoganda’s didn’t get pushed off the list.
1, Stash House
Good for a bigger group, this was fun, challenging, and had a nice variety of puzzles to solve.
2. Red Giant (Quest Room)
An Indiana Jones-inspired room had some of the best gimmicks and challenging puzzles. (Groups should be five or fewer IMO)
3. Prison Break (Escape Revolution)
Escape Revolution’s rooms are expensive but you get what you pay for. I’d say: Prison Break is great, Escobar is very good, and Armoured Truck Heist is good but all three are among the best I’ve played.
4. Lab Rat (Hatch Escapes)
This should be higher but it made me feel dumb so THERE! My friends and I didn’t come close to finishing. But it’s got a great set, some VERY cool puzzles, and a fun story. (This one is also good for a bigger group.)
5. Magic Kingdom (Maze Rooms)
This room made for a good date night as it’s a fun room that is tricky but not exactly stressful. If your previous date nights went well, it’s also the most kid-friendly room I’ve done, with its fairy tale theme. Maze has the age level at 10 & Up, which seems right although I think younger kids might need a grown up with them to help out.
